Project description
When presented with the honor of working on a glass chandelier piece for the Italian american museum of los angeles, master glass blower Jim Embrescia called me to help with pre visualization and build schematics. The first step was to size the location and determine a chassis for all the electrical and glass to be wired to. Knowing that this piece would be so special we spent a lot of time making sure each individual piece was perfect. We then designed individual glass shapes. Once completed each piece had to have a direct link to the chassis that supports it all.
Results.
On budget, and installed days before the museum's grand opening the chandelier was lit with vasious hue globes that could be individually controlled via blue-tooth on any connected iPad or phone.
